In first days after the great Wall Street firings, people on the street were very different. The suits walked slower, shoes weren’t as shined and expense account restaurants had more tables. It was interesting how the weather was so perfect and yet everything slowed.
Now that some of the smoke has cleared, one has to wonder what will happen to all of those folks who got the boot from Lehmann and others. Getting the same type job will be tough - especially replacing that kind of income - and with the jitters continuing, they are likely to have a long wait. Hopefully, they stashed enough money. How will they spend their time now?
I suspect that anyone with money decided to get out of town and take a vacation before coming back to get hit with the reality of life as it used to be. True optimists stayed in town and immediately hit the phones and internet to network their way into something else a.s.a.p. While other sites give out star sightings around town, we thought we’d follow that same tradition with sightings of former Lehman employees. Here’s who we saw today and we’ll start to up date this as often as we see someone we can confirm.

8:15 a.m. 9/22: Leo. East 54th St. Going home to Worcester. Will live with Mom and Dad and work for the family dry cleaning business.
